Well … how do you actually wear an eye patch? They are used to cover an eye; for example, to support the development of an eye’s ability to see. They should only be used if recommended by an orthoptist or an eye doctor – especially when it comes to children! The reason is that there is a risk that the child’s visual development can be affected adversely, if using the eye patch has not been recommended as a course of treatment by a professional. The eye doctor will tell you which eye to cover. How many days a week. How many hours a day. And over how long a period of time.
How do you attach the eye patch to the glasses?
The Kay Fun Patch fabric eye patches are available for babies, children, and adults. Below you can find a simple guide for how to attach the eye patch to a pair of glasses. The illustrations apply for both children’s and adult patches, as they are used in the same way.
The patches for babies differ from our other patches, as they are slightly smaller in size and there is a smaller hole for the glasses frame that secures them into the desired position.
