Glue
The glue on the adhesive eye patch is approved for use on skin. The glue on the patches from MYI has a slightly stickier quality than others on the market. As a result, they sit a little better on the skin. This can be beneficial, since it makes it difficult for the child to disrupt his/her vision therapy by removing the eye patch. If you experience that the eye patch is slightly too well attached, then you can place it onto your forearm or a pair of trousers before putting it on your child’s eye. In doing so, you remove some of the glue’s sticky quality, so it is unable to stick quite as well to the skin.
Size
This type is available in the following sizes:
Regular (8 x 5,7 cm) is recommended for children over the age of three years.
NOTE: They are small in size. The manufacturer’s indication of age should only be seen as guideline, as children are different and the size of the area to be covered can vary. For example, many people find it easier to cover the eye on even small children by using a large adhesive eye patch. Vision4Kids recommends size Regular from 2+ years.
